My God. Its full of stars

what nonsense is this? this is'nt productive at all.
Just a speed painting to loosen up after work. I think i'm gonna persue
more of these star giants.

crazy eyes

further progress

the face has it

these are grossly unfinished. but whats the point of a blog if you cant put up processes.

I am trying to better myself as an artist and i know to survive i'm going to have to be a hell of a lot better than i am now. so. painting like a real digital artist is a start. its gonna be a loooong road till i get to the level of competent and not ammeter at best.

aftermath

so I've finished watching Band of Brothers. Probably the best world war two series/ film I've ever seen.

utter madness

the finished article in all its glory.
The sky was made with a custom brush not a photo reference. the coloures sort of just came out naturally through just messing arround with levels and blends i usually wouldn't use.

madness i say!

madness indeed

they guard the winter steps

Just a quickie. I like how the sky accidentally turned out in the far left corner.
There is no context for this one. i just made it up.

forrest wanderings. but with a sward

found literally the best brush buried in the massive clutter of downloaded brushes on my photoshop. i love the jaggedy random edge it gives to the line. i'm not completly happy with the composition but I'll probably work into it.

the long walk

and all of a sudden everything went very 300

the fleet

Yes its another speed paint. and yes its my usual colours and yes i need to do more varied stuff. but this one has ships in it so there. stay tuned for when i get my arse in gear and so things of more worth.

A storm wanders

This reminds me of something from Howels moving castle.

the old gods

I'm not completely happy with this painting so I'm going to continue tweeking it. done during off time at work to get a little verity.
i think I'll do more back lit stuff in the future.

grownup paintings

Luka and the Fire of life

I thought I'd finally put up these illustrations and designs for the Luka and the Fire of life project. Fun times indeed.

Lilly Anne Van Shrike is the youngest of the Van Shrike family. A family dedicated to eradicating Vamperisum, Lycanthropisum and Ghoulification throughout Britain and Europe. The once affluent and respected family has fallen on hard times after they assassinated two very influential aristocrats who they claimed to be Vampires. Lilly has taken on the task of regaining her family's honor and credit.
