Pastoral Landskapes

My dad will be so pleased.
Background art for my final major project. Used just quink ink for this one
That stuffs amazing. In this painting I was trying to get a sweeping and
mysterious quality to the landscape.

of wolves and men

I was determined not to do the usual left to right comic book transformation. I imagine that having you're bones and muscles shift and change would cause them to heat up considerably and be a rather painful process. So in this drawing I was trying to convey that feeling of animal rage and pain.

I usually don't use digital backgrounds but at the time of makeing this drawing I was unsure as to where the wolf was going to be. Once I decided it was going to be in the snow the rest just sort of fell together. Trying to get the feeling of the wolf towering over you in this piece.

On Werewolves and Lycanthropes

Going for a "last known photo" look in this picture. I like how the light's turned out trying to get the look of a flash camera being used the same time as the gunshot.

Much more experimental in this one. I wanted the wolves to convey a feeling of speed and animal ferocity. Using a brush instead of pen was a big help in this.

Working with shadow and line in this one. Also trying to figure out the proportions I have in mind for them.

My favorite of the wolf pictures Ive done so far. Geting that mix of wolf and simian in the body of the wolf was interesting. Also not making him looking like a skinny bear was a challenge. But he makes a nice shadow.
