so i had this idea ages ago about these families that live on a pretty blasted planet atop of these huge hunchback creatures. My mind goes to pretty strange places under pressure. strangely pressure of an end of term crit.

my submission to Dazed and confused's cover competition. i think i went a little overboard with thisun. but i like how his lips came out.

For our new character design assignment at uni we had to pick a old school insult. These sketches where done before i knew we had to base the design on someone we know. not an easy task as most of my friends are spread across the country or share a studio with me. So yeah. i always liked the caracter from the song "Butcher Pete" by Roy Brown. somehow the idea of a lustful butcher kinda appealed to me. Also allowed me to experiment in a more chunky aesthetic and using coloured pencils.

I thought i would upload some sketchbook pages done over the winter.





First up is some design ideas i researched for my Krampus costume for a Christmas party. rest assures it was nowhere near as complex as these designs. But i did have a tail and horns.



Guess which movie i watched? can ya tell? Experimenting with a more flapjack style. i'm not sure if it works.



Lastly here is my pro marker Clint Eastwood. which I'm not too disappointing with. and my Owlbear who I'm quite pleased with.
